We are making the switch from standard costing to average costing. MFG parts have been straight forward, but for purchased on hand we had to adjust all inventory to zero, change costing method, then adjust back in. This worked for 99% percent of our parts just fine, but 4 very common parts would not allow us to change costing saying ‘on hand qty exists’ though we can’t see any on hand in any bins, non nettable bins, or even open DMRs. FIFO layers also looked good.
Any other ideas where “On hand quantities” could be hiding out?
