On- Hand part quantities split up by REV?

Hi All,

Is there a module that shows the on-hand quantity of parts split up by REV? I have a part that has been uprev’ed to REV 01 from REV 0. We are using the REV 0 on unit 1 that is almost completed but are starting to kit material for unit 2 where we need to use the REV 01 material.

I know that we have qty 64 of the REV 01 and qty 32 of the REV 0 material, but when I look in Part on Hand Status it doesn’t split up the quantity by REV, only by Bin.

We are having a lot of upreving activity right now and my warehouse wants a tool they can reference to see how many of each rev they are supposed to have in stock.

I look at Bin Tracker, Part Tracker, and Part on Hand Status and didn’t see anything. Am I missing something obvious?

Thanks in advance!

Epicor just recently added that functionality (Track Inventory by Revision), and if you search the forum you’ll find out it’s still not QUITE ready for prime time.

Without that in place (and the processes to use it), Epicor does not store revision information for on-hand parts. The only real way to accomplish that is by either Lot or Serial tracking, from which you can determine the revision number at each transaction.

Good to know, thanks for the update and the advice

Track inventory by revision works well IF, its a new part that has not had any previous transactions. You can use the Part UOM to change a part from tracked to not tracked. Epicor will tell you to use that, but I’ve not had any luck getting that to work.

The issue is if you have a part that you want to track revision, everything that part is linked to must be updated. If that part is on a BOM, the BOM now needs to contain the rev, any open PO or SO, etc. If not, it wreaks havoc.
