I have created on in Crystal but have ran into a few minor issues. I
orig. set up the report to pull the need by & req. by dates from the
header tab but should really be pulling them from the releases tab as
they can very. I also need the ship by date (only found in the
shiphead, that i'm aware of). So so far the tables i am using are
shipdtl, shiphead, orderhed, customer. When i add orderrel and then
put the needby date & req.date on the report from the releases table
the report goes crazy and isn't correct anymore. When i use the dates
from orderhed, the info is 100% accurate. Am i linking these wrong?

Yes, I believe you are linking them wrong.

You need to link the OrderHed to the OrderDtl (with fields Company &
OrderNum).

Then link the OrderDtl to the OrderRel (with fields Company, OrderNum,
& OrderLine).

I believe joins would be:

Customer -> OrderHed (by Company, CustNum)
OrderHed -> OrderDtl (by Company, OrderNum)
OrderDtl -> OrderRel (by Company, OrderNum, OrderLine)
OrderRel -> ShipDtl (by Company, OrderNum, OrderLine, OrderRelNum)
ShipDtl -> ShipHead (by Company, PackNum)
