One Company Utility

Thanks for your vote of confidence, Manasa. Was hoping for more feedback so Epicor could see the utility might be in their strategic interest. It could also be used to convert SQL from/to Progress.

Has anyone noticed in the Hardware Sizing Guide a separate server for the Appservers is recommended for SQL sooner than Progress?

For those of you considering multiple companies inside one database, have you ever wanted a utility to import one company into the Live database without affecting the others?

Epicor Support says there is no such utility but perhaps Professional Services could help.

But if such a utility existed, we could merge companies at will or split them out again. Perhaps one of the companies had a catastropic Cost Rollup or Capture WIP in a week where one company wasn't working while the others were, so there was little activity for just the affected company. You could undo it by restoring a Live Backup to Test, execute the log up to that point, export and then import that one company into Live. The Import would obviously have to delete all records of each table before importing it.

(Each company has different off weeks.)
