Open 4 Labor Rate Issues

Sorry to say.when you have Open4 that is the way the system operates. The
Open4 labor rate overwrites the shop employee.period. There is no
additional setting in Vantage/Epicor, that I'm aware of, that changes this
behavior. As to the labor rate in the Resource Group, it is only used for
the Estimated Labor dollar values. Only actual labor at the current rate
for the employee is booked to the job.

We use Open 4 for payroll. We also use shop employee in Vantage. Under shop employee we want to put a labor rate that differs from the employee's actual rate. For some reason Open 4 keeps overwriting with the payroll labor rate (which we don't want visible). It's also using the payroll labor rate for jobs instead of the standard rate which we have assigned to the resource group/resource.

How might we correct this issue?
We have the same issue, but have not been able to figure out how to correct. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We ended up just hiding the labor rate field anywhere that the employees
would see the rate and told them to use the standard rate when figuring
labor calculations.

We assign different labor rates on a pre-processing directive on Labor.Update.

to assign a fixed rate you could do something like below. If you want the rate from the resource group you could also do that here.

Greg Payne

For Each ttLaborDtl where ttLaborDtl.Rowmod = 'A' and ttLaborDtl.Company = cur-comp and ttLaborDtl.ActiveTrans = true.

Assign ttLaborDtl.LaborRate = LaborRate.

end.
