Hey everyone, I’ve run into a blocker and could use some guidance. I’m trying to add additional columns to the Opportunity/Quote search grid results in Epicor Kinetic while working in the Classic UI. Specifically, I want to add the Project Name from QuoteHed.ShortChar02. Has anyone done this before or know the best approach?
I’ve never been able to alter the canned “Basic” searches.
Best I’ve been able to do is set up a BAQ search including all the columns you need. Then you can set that as the default search if you want.
Quick Search is probably the easiest route - it lets you pick a BAQ as your search but you can also define the filters similar to what you see already. That way you can control the columns and filters. It should work great for what you’re trying to do. Then you can set it as the default search so it automatically pops up just like the normal search.
Makes sense, I created the Quick Search and it’s working well. However, I have a few things I’d like some clarification on. In the screenshot I provided, we have the “Starting At” label, which is supposed to link to QuoteNum. If I add QuoteNum directly into the Quick Search and set the criteria to “Prompt”, it adds a separate search button instead of just displaying the field name and input box. Because of that, I tried creating a calculated field instead, but it returns 0 rows. any idea how I can achieve this properly?

Did you try making the calculated field an integer? I think your approach should work.
It did the trick, appreciate it man
