I want to configure Epicor so that when I use the fulfillment workbench, I can sort items by their required by date and assign them to specific workstation bins. Currently, despite setting up IN and OUT bins on the resource group level, the fulfillment process still defaults to picking everything to our general pick bin labeled “WIP”. If I remove this default bin, it either picks nothing or requires the operator to manually specify the destination.
My goal is to allocate materials to particular operations and streamline the picking process by having our pickers use a single cart with 10 labeled bins, each corresponding to a workstation. We have 9 workstations, each with its own designated task. Consequently, each fulfillment order will contain 9 distinct jobs, and the parts must be directed to the respective workstation bins for efficient handling by the operators.
Ideally, the pick list would specify instructions such as “Pick part #12345 from bin-123 to workstation bin WS-1” or “Pick part #1678 from bin-124 to workstation bin WS-4”, guiding the picker through the parts room methodically while ensuring that parts for different jobs are separated.
We would have all operations scheduled correctly so a date sort in fulfillment should get the jobs and materials needed to pull, But I don’t know how to tell the picker where to pull it too.
