Giddens Industries, located in Everett, WA next to Boeing, has an immediate need to fill two key positions. The first is a Business Analyst, reporting to the CFO. The second is for a Materials Manager, reporting to our VP of Ops. Job descriptions are listed below. Business Analyst

Shift: Day Shift

Job Duties:
Conduct Variance Analysis for parts as issues arise
Perform Job Costing Analysis on new parts and existing parts as determined necessary
Perform weekly/month end inventory updates and valuations
Maintain and update Work Center Rate model
Maintain and update Revenue Forecast model
Maintain reports supporting NFI (Non-Financial Information) charts
Participate in Month End close by completing various reports as assigned
Reconcile VOI (Vendor Owned Inventory)
Issue, enter and maintain physical count inventory process
Perform Accounting Department internal audit functions as assigned
Back up VOI billing as requested
Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or other related degree or equivalent experience
3 - 5+ years in experience in a manufacturing environment
Advanced Excel modeling skills
Experience with Vantage and or Epicor ERP products
Well organized with strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy
Ability to think logically and methodically to resolve issues
Strong team player with ability to work on individually owned tasks
Ability to work to deadlines, prioritizing tasks to meet both individual and team goals
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Materials Manager

Shift: Day Shift

Job Duties:
Leads and administers requirements for scheduling operations to meet customer schedules and business requirements
Develops and applies effective lot sizing rules, level-loading resources; negotiating quantity/date changes through program managers, and continuously improves inventory turns with 100% delivery performance.
Leads staff that creates and enters, forecasts, sales orders, and work orders, based on customer requirements through effective lot sizing parameters, capacity constraints, resource level loading, and effective margin and inventory management.
Develops and applies advanced knowledge of ERP, lean production and inventory control strategies, to Continuously improve logistics process design to meet customer and business objectives.
Creates and maintains capacity plans for work centers, utilizing them for resource level loading, and identifies and contributes to plans to resolve constraints.
Identifies constraints and works with Operations and QA to effectively reprioritize or redeploy resources to break bottlenecks.
Collaborates with Operations to maintain effective and efficient routings, lot sizes, move and queue times, safety stock, and finished goods inventory levels.
Develops and maintains process expertise for maintaining and using Vantage ERP System functions, effectively coupled with lean production strategies.
Approves Master Production Schedules based on customer requirements and capacity.
Develops procedures for planning, releasing, monitoring, re-planning and completing work orders.
Communicates delivery status and recovery schedules on scheduled shipments.
Develops and implements plans for inventory planning and reduction, including inventory accuracy.

Job Requirements:
Strong Leadership skills
Proven ability to lead the scheduling function
5 to 7 years related experience or a combination of management and scheduling experience.
Working knowledge on how to schedule manufacturing cells in a lean production environment, including the use of kanban, trigger boards, and similar techniques
Strong motivational and team development skills.
Excellent responsiveness and customer focus.
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects.
Demonstrated competency with ERP/MRP system(s) and to evaluate and analyze complex MRP issues; both quantitatively and qualitatively
Effectively communicate with individuals or groups to develop strategy, creatively problem solve, and negotiate price and terms
Ability to write contracts, reports and business correspondence, for both internal and external distribution.
Ability to work with algebraic and logical mathematical concepts as well as basics.
Solve complex problems and deal with a variety of multi-variant situations where only limited standardization exists.
Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form and apply appropriate judgment to attain business outcomes.
Effective interpersonal, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated negotiation skills.
Familiarity with acquisition regulations, including contract law, FAR, and ITAR.
Basic understanding of machining and/or other related manufacturing processes

Preferred Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business or a production control related field.
