OT - Active Directory Questions

It is not so much what I want to do... I think it is more of how should it
work. Do you set up folders thru explorer or through DFS? Should I be able
to see these shared through AD in Explorer or only through the mappings in
Explorer? Should security be granted at an OU,Group or USer level?

For all you gurus of AD, HELP. I have a small network. Created OU,
groups, users, shares. When I look in explorer everything is

Under this VOL1 directory I have all necessary subdirectories for my
users. When I browse through explorer everything is duplicated.
When I go through My Computer all my mapping appear correctly. Maybe
with AD we shouldn't browse explorer. HELP I am just confused. Also
do I map at the Server to specific drive ID's or do it at the
workstations so they are not mapped to drives they don't need?
