OT: Cell Phone checking Email

I am on Cingular / AT&T and they too, use expensive phones for this, I
believe mine was about $425 (Motorola MP220). Monthly charges aren't
too bad as the account is in my name and I've added a couple of key
managers to my "family" and we draw off a pool of minutes, and pay a
flat rate for data. Phone works great- it synchs every 30 minutes,
updating contacts and email. Now if I could just reduce the spam that
gets into my inbox....

Right now we are using Verizon wireless plant wide
The phones are expensive tho
$399 - $599!

Just a thought - I use Sprint and if I need to I can forward my email to my
Sprint email which I can then retrieve using my phone.

I have Verizon Wireless and a Samsung PocketPC/Phone I700. Verizon has a PDA
service that is an extra $44 a month. I get my Comcast and company exchange
email delivered to my phone. Any pop3 mail can be connected to and
retrieved.

For exchange, if pop3 is not set up, you can run a monitor on the persons
desktop pc and leave their email application running. Any exchange emails
they receive get pushed to verizon and then to your handheld device.

I also get the internet. I have not received my first bill yet. I am
wondering how much more than $44 will really show up..
