(OT) Duplicate emails

What can sometimes happen, well it does on our Linux box, is the mail
software gets stuck on a particular message and the connection is
dropped. When the connection is lost it doesn't purge the messages
properly at your ISP, hence the messages get repeated. If it doesn't
rectify itself we download the messages using Outlook Express.

Subject: [Vantage] Re: (OT) Duplicate emails

Lately, several employees have been getting duplicate emails from a
few different sources. Sometimes, they get the same email as much as
4 times.

In the past we have had a situation where an employee might receive
the same email over and over and I would just shut down the Internet
Mail Service and delete the queue.dat file. However, this is very
different and I can't quite see the pattern in it.

We are running MS Exchange 5.5 on an NT server.

Is it possible it might be a virus? Norton Antivirus Corporate
Edition hasn't picked up anything.

Thanks for your help.
