Mark,
You can try having one xls (called public for example) that provides your view and inside that, insert another xls file or other data source or image as an OLE link object. That way, the shared public xls itself is not modified. Then, maybe ony refresh issues to deal with, which you might be able to handle with a macro or VBA, or maybe it will be automatic...have not tried it to know...but it is a place to start.

I created a spreadsheet that will alert the shop if there has been a job that has been promised for a certain date and we must ship the job by that date. I am able to have the spreadsheet come up automatically on the shop workstations when they start up.Is there a way to add text to the spreadsheet and save the changes to the original sheet from any workstation while other workstations still have the sheet open? Then when they open the sheet up again everyone will see the changes that one or many employees have done.Thank you in advance.Mark
