Reference call 947715PSC

What I did do was restore the file to a different location on hard
drive, the renamed file and put it into ud directory, then directed
Report builder to new named library. This seems to have work.

I never really got answers to: Why did this file corrupted? Do I
have other problems to address?

If I remember correctly the problem was supposedly caused by my
library being too big, so I created new libraries and moved reports
around to the correct libraries.

Bad news. The .PRL is probably corrupted. I've had this a couple times but I checked the Progress Software website (see below) to be sure. Sometimes even restoring the .prl from a known good version will not work but other times you can restore as a different name and get it to open. Usually .PRLs get corrupted due to having too many reports in them. Depending on size and complexity of the reports the threshold seems to vary. I try to keep PRLs down to 50 or fewer reports. Other times I've seen them react badly to being copied to another location - as if one bit got clobbered and something like a checksum becomes invalid (just guessing there).
