We purchase some finished machined components from China and we provide them with gages to check the quality of their machining before shipping the parts to us. Theses gages are not for resale, don't add any value to the components, and have to be sent back to us periodically for re-calibration. Sometimes the gages can be quite expensive.
What we are trying to figure out is the best way to handle the shipments back and forth so we are not paying duties and fees on the value of the gages everytime they are shipped. Has anyone else run into this issue, and if so, how do you handle it?
Thanks,
Ed
