OT - Help Setting Up an FTP Server

Umm, not so much a bass boat as a big net compared to the
worm method. :)

Seriously, the service is available through us as a
re-seller and is priced around $50/user/month or less
depending on users.

Lorne,

Steve just wanted a worm to go fishing with, don't sell him
a bass boat.

Steve (and anyone else that might be interested),

What about a solution where you could do what you have
already done, but
would have the ability to have Oracle security on user
access, AND have a
true document management systemfunction with check-
in/check-out procedures
and versioning, AND have a built-in internal/external
threaded Discussion
forum, AND have multiple calendars for corporate and
non-coroporate type
events/meetings (can have both public and private
calendars), AND internal
sales pipeline & leads assignment, tracking & reporting, AND
the ability to
create triggered databases on-the-fly for whatever need you
have (and almost
ANYONE can do it....really easy!), AND have notifications
triggers, AND can
create and distribute multi-question multianswer on-line
surveys, AND
automatically collates and summarizes results (powerful for
customer
support, HR, training, sales and marketing), AND provides
corporate and
personal contact management system (with Import/Export from
Outlook),AND can
even offer the option of a built- in Web-Ex capability for
real-time on-line
meetings/discussions?

Now what if this solution was a web-based zero-footprint
system that could
be done as an ASP hosted solution (No big up-front software
purchase
required), OR could be done as a purchased, but managaged,
software solution
that runs on your own LAN/WAN?

Even further, what if this came from a company where the CEO
was a former
SVP of Hewlett-Packard and has clients ranging from highly
respected US
universities to US Gov't to small, but disbursed, companies
to large
corporations?

Would you (or anyone else) find this a desirable solution?

I'm attempting to set up an FTP server so that we can share files
with a supplier. I am running Windows Server 2003 and ISA Server
2000. I have physically created the FTP site (directory), enabled the
FTP service and, I believe, correctly set the site up in IIS. I have
also published the FTP site in ISA server. I can access the site
internally when I ftp to the configured external IP address, but I
cannot access the site outside of my network. Can anyone offer any
suggestions as to where I should look or give me a rundown on the
proper procedure that I should have followed.

Thanks,
Steve Polatas

I'm using ISA Server with a cable internet connection. Opening up the
port did the trick. Thanks for the additional suggestion, Bruce.
