OT - Help with Network Printing with Vantage 5

Tim, since Report Builder likes to retain the printer information assigned
to the report, you might want to try opening one of the reports in Report
Builder, assign a new printer to it and resave the report. If that works,
then you'll just have to open all the reports in Report Builder, assign a
new printer and resave them all. I would just try one or two at first to
see if this is it before going though all the reports.

Tim,

I can't remember what folder it is, but one of the folders in the Epicor or
Vantage folder may need to have write permissions given to it. If I
remember right (it's been awhile), you might find the path to the offending
file in the error message in event viewer. Open up the security for writes
on that folder and that might do it. Good luck.

Over the past weekend, we upgraded our network and moved
all of our users from a Novell file server to a Windows
2000 Server and removed the Novell systems from our network.

Now we're having a problem printing our Report builder reports.
When a user tries to print without using Print Preview, they
receive an error:
"Specified Printer is not Installed or Specified Port is not Available"

Most of them, if they print preview, can then print from the preview.
Some of our XP Computers can't print using the network. The machines
were all setup using the PrintUIEntry command to add per machine
connections. Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) all print fine.

All of the printers are shared on a Windows 2000 Server, and all
of the printers are attached to the network with IP Print server
devices.

We are running Progress 9.1A26, and Vantage 5.00.329.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
