[OT] HP LaserJet n printers - replacement network interface

Thanks. Using the links to the internal diagrams for the part number it certainly looks like more of a job than just replacing a NIC. I think I will lobby for replacing the whole printer.

Searching for 'LaserJet 2600n' doesn't show any replacement for the internal print server (and the docs suggest you can't use an external USB print server). There is a replacement part (Q6455-69013) for $144 and presumably requires you to send back your failed printer.

2600n Discontinued a year and half ago. If I can get an interface for under $200 I'll do that. Otherwise I'll replace it with a CP1518, HP's designated replacement model which lists for $400. Hiring someone to bring a part and replace it would cost at least that much so not worth it.

Don't be so coy. What's the model of the printer? :-)

Subject: [Vantage] [OT] HP LaserJet n printers - replacement network interface

Anyone out there ever had to replace the Ethernet network card on an HP 'n' type printer? This is different form the add-in network interface for the non-'n' models. After a series of power hits I have one that has stopped working. Can't even ping it.

Now I can't find a source of a replacement interface. I can find replacement parts for all the normal stuff (fusers, formatter, finishers) but not network. Anyone out there have a source to recommend?

Thanks,

Looking at our 2600Ns the nic may be built directly onto the main board of
the printer and not replaceable.
