(OT) International Traveler Insurance

Marty-

We have an "Exporter's Policy" from Chubb to cover this same thing,
including foreign shipments. We have an employee or two go to Mexico
once or twice a year. Annual cost is $2,655. I don't know about the
individual limits, but it covers W.C., repatriation & other issues
dealing with property.

Thanks!

Rick Ludwig

Subject: [Vantage] (OT) International Traveler Insurance

Many of you may not be able directly help me but perhaps you could pass
my
questions on to the person in your company that can help.

We're new to the international travel scene and have 4 employees
traveling to
Europe for 12 days. My job is to insure them and the company. My agent
is
recommending a policy that covers auto rental liability, general
liability,
employer liability (work comp), $10,000 in medical and $250,000 in
accidental
death and dismemberment. I guess the insurance industry calls this
"Traveler's
Insurance."

Does this sound reasonable and appropriate?

The employees will be visiting other companies over there. They will not
be
working on the shop floor running or setting up any equipment. Strictly
a 'let's
get acquainted' with the area and meet some other companies in that
area.

I'm thinking our biggest exposures are auto liability (even though our
guide/host will actually be renting the vehicle) and medical coverage.
If one
our employees gets sick over their I do not want them to have to hassle
with our
U.S. medical insurance while overseas. Sounds like a nightmare.

How do you folks handle this?
