OT-Need Help with Wasp BC printer

My experience with BC printers leads me to believe that you should be
able to include an "in-line" command which tells the printer to print
lighter. If your printing from a windows printer driver, you might be
able to set the darkness in the printer driver properties window (Start
button, control panel, printers). Seems I recall that both printer
setups I worked with had a default setting that the printers used when
nothing was specified. You simply had to find the right utility to set
that default on the printer itself. The printer manuals turned out to
be an invaluable tool though....

Beyond that I am not much help as I worked with the low level printer
languages on both the printers I used and I bypassed the windows drivers
and printed my formatted data to an IP address (wireless print server in
one case, straight to the wireless/cordless printer in the other).

Subject: [Vantage] OT-Need Help with Wasp BC printer

We need to print barcodes for a particular customer - 2 labels for
each line of a packslip. I took a Report Builder report that Calvin
wrote awhile back and modified it - should work perfectly. (Filter:
Shiphead.PackNum IN-RANGE ___,___. Shipping can print all of their
packslips, then run this in a batch.)

I inherited a new Wasp WPL305 BC printer, so I am attempting to make
it work for the barcode labels. I can get the data to print on the
labels as formated - problem is that it prints way to dark so it is
not readable and I have not been able to correct that.

Is it necessary to load 3rd party or Wasp software, or should I just
be able to print from Report Builder to the Wasp printer?

I have about a week to get it right or find another solution, so all
help is greatly appreciated - on or off list!!
