OT - Network - Packet Loss

I had packet loss problems over the WAN. I used "ping" at the command
prompt to hit another machine with packets. I used "ping [ipaddress of a
computer] -n 1024 -l 200". I found that my MTA size was too big and I was
losing packets over the WAN. If you type "ping /?" at the command prompt it
will tell you what the switches mean. Hope this helps. If you need more
info you can contact me offline.

Hi everyone,

Need advice from all of you Network gurus out there.

What is the easiest way to trace packet loss on the network....or just
tracing packets in general on my network.

It has been a long while since I have done this so I need some help.

Thanks in advance,

Manasa

Look for the puddle of packets on the floor, usually just below a router or
bridge.
