OT Outllook 2002 Tasks

When I set up a task and assign it to someone else it won't update
the task on my list. It says that the task has been assigned to more
than one delegate and that updates can't be tracked. I received the
email message alert but the task itself on my list remains unchange.
Does anyone have any ideas of what I am doing wrong?
