OT outlook express saves attachments slowly to floppy and usb

Try temporarily disabling your virus scanner. I've seen those do odd
things with flash cards and other removable storage.

Hello group

Sorry for the off topic but this one is driving me crazy. Whenever I save an attachment from Outlook Express to a floppy drive or usb storage device, the transfer rate is very slow. If I save the same attachment to the hard drive and then copy it the floppy or usb it is normal speed (rather quickly.) System is as follows:

Dell Dimension 3000
2.8 Gig processor / 512 ram
XP Pro SP2
Outlook Express 6.00.2900.2180 xpsp_sp2
Internet Explorer 6.00.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2

Can anyone give me a heads up?
