[OT] Picasa2 photo software

PC magazine has a review. Its a stereotypical photo cataloging program with
editing features. It talks a built in client for immediate sharing on IM.
It appears harmless enough but I would block the "sharing" port it uses to
send instant messages.

A bunch of users here are downloading and using (withiout asking me first -
contrary to our internet policy) something called Picasa for organizing
photos. Word of mouth has it spreading pretty quickly. Anyone know if this
is a legit program and not some sort of trojan deal. Any known security
holes in it (ala the old Napster or Kazaa)? Seems to be "funded" by links
to photo printers and services. It looks very nice and I myself would not
mind using it but I don't wan't something nasty running inside the firewall
and tunneling out. Could be really handy for cataloging quality issue
photos.

Thanks for any info or opinions on this.
