Nope...no iLO card.
Thanks for all the input. I am putting together a list of things for
them to try on Monday and if all else fails I am going to have them send
it over here. I am building a new vmware setup for them right now and if
I can get it the old server running I will convert it to a virtual
server.

Have you removed any internal cards and remove power connectors to
drives. Try a bare bones start with nothing attached other than the
system board. If it starts, plug each device back in until it doesn't
function again. It could be a bad controller card or other device as
well.

Does the fan on the power supply start up? I think I'd replace the
power supply before buying a processor. Just my opinion.

Alright all you hardware troubleshooters...hoping someone has some
bright ideas.
I have an HP Prolient ML350 server in our office in the Philippines that
I am trying to troubleshoot from half a world away. It does not boot. A
light on the front shows that there is an "internal health critical
error". The only error light that isn't green on the motherboard is the
PPM (processor power module). There actually isn't a PPM in the slot and
never has been. From what I have read, I assume that the use of a PPM is
for different processors to set the correct voltage. All the drives
light up and there are no beeps and nothing is displayed on the screen.
I ordered a replacement motherboard and sent them but get the same
result. I had them just put in the minimal memory, trying different
sticks. They think it is the power supply but since the drives light up
I doubt it. My next best guess is processor but unfortunately it takes a
week every time I send them a part to try.
Any ideas before I have them pack the whole thing up and send it back
here so I can work on it?
Mark
