Don't know if it will help or not, but check the local HOSTS and
LMHOSTS files to see if there are any bogus entries causing a
redirect. (I'm assuming this is happening on only one machine?)
If I remember correctly, the local hosts/lmhosts files will be
querried before hitting the WINS/DNS servers. This causes all kinds
of grief if someone sneaks an entry in.
