OT; Uninstalling MS Office 2007

When you installed Crystal did you accept the default, which is Only for
this user? If you accepted the default when installing Crystal, you will
need to remove and re-install Crystal and select For all users.

Subject: [Vantage] OT; Uninstalling MS Office 2007

This week I ran into an issue after uninstalling a workstation's
older version of Crystal Runtime 2.0 and installing a newer version as
instructed for the 8.03.407 patch. The users Microsoft Office 2007
will not start any of the programs, i.e. Outlook, Excel, or Word under
that user's ID. There is an "Cannot initialize the shared utilities"
message that comes up. I have uninstalled and re-installed Office but
with the same results. Office, however, will run on the workstation
under the system administrator's account but not the user's local
administrator's account.
Short of re-installing the operating system has anyone run into this
and have a better suggestion?

If the user doesn't have a lot of stuff stored on computer, log on as
administrator and delete user's folder when they log back in it will
set up new folders for them. I dont know if that will fix or not - we
can't use office 2007 because it breaks sharepoint document library web
folders.
