Giving admin rights to just the UPS folder and subfolders did the trick for
us here.
I did not want to give admin rights to the user for the entire pc.

I have the same issue here. I have granted LOCAL admin rights to the domain
user account on the UPS workstation and I govern workstation rights through
AD Group Policy. Hasn't been a problem yet....but sure would rather have a
solution that did not require admin rights at any level.

Funny, did the same just yesterday. But only ran it as Administrator. Was
waiting for UPS to come move the database to the new machine before setting
up a user besides Administrator. I assume I will run into this issue too so
I too would be eager for responses. If the UPS tech gets here soon I'll
grill them. Offhand though my first thought would be to set privs on the
UPS program folders for Everyone-Read and RW on the data files. It never
gave me the option on install to allow eveyone using the computer to run the
program...but perhaps that was because there was only the Administrator user
at the time.

I installed World Ship 7.0 on to a XP Pro SP2 box and the program will not
start up correctly unless the user has administrator privileges. Has anybody
experienced this before and/or know of a solution? TIA Mark
