Sometime scanners are not set for Extended or Full ASCII character set. You
might have to refer to the scanner's user guide and see if there is perhaps
a bar code to scan from the book that turns this on. It should tell you if
Full-ASCII is on by default or not.

Please help I need to generate a barcode ( clocking in cards) within the
report builder with "ALT L" embeded I am using "*%DL%E*" as a user defined
field but this does not seem to work
does anyone have any ideas ?
