OT: Watermark printing date on print out

AutoVue will allow you to put the date in a watermark but it may not be the
solution your looking for its an application not a print driver. You could
batch print or script starting it to print your documents.

I haven't seen any drivers that let you use variable data [eg: "today's
date"] in headers or watermarks. And Windows' spooler system seems to
only be geared towards generic text header pages.

I know the Fine Print utility http://www.fineprint.com/ can be configured
to do it. It's inexpensive share-ware with lots of cool features.

Or if you're using a print server & spooler, such as Samba on a unix box,
that can be configured to send arbitrary files in front of a print job it
can be done.

Basically you need PCL commands to define a macro with the page setup and
date and any other text; define the macro as a page overlay; and enable it
for all pages in the job.
