[OT] Windows-2000 License Usage

HAve you tried just shutting off the Lic Service and leaving it off? We had
several problems with this service and Microsoft Tech support told us to
stop the service on all servers. If you have Backoffice Small Biz Edition
it may be required.
Just a though,

Subject: [Vantage] [OT] Windows-2000 License Usage

Sort of OT anyway....
We had a power failure yesterday that knocked out about half the desktops
for awhile. Now our Windows-2000 domain controller won't allow new logins
(even to the Vantage server) because the number of licenses in use is messed
up. Probably ghost users still in the table of logged in users.

Is there any way to reset or refresh this without booting the server? At
the moment a lot of people can't log in to get to Vantage because it says we
are exceeding the number of licensed users. I used to have this with NT
4.0-SBS and the only way around was to reboot. Can I do something like
stop/start the license service to make it refresh the view of who is logged
in?

Thanks,
