OT - Windows 2003 Server

Thanks for the response.

I am planning to upgrade this fall and wanted to get a pulse on what the
group was experiencing.

Thanks again.

Hi

Does anybody have an accounts payable debit note/invoice written in report builder for Vantage Version 4. It would save me alot of time.

Thanks in advance

This is not a large or critical issue, but we run jobs over 100000 pcs. The
quantity fields apparently cannot handle values with more than 6 digets to
the left of the decimal place. Do the users have any control (without custom
programing) over these formats. (We are on version 3.0) or is that one of
those little revisions that we have to wait.

Shirley,

We have the same problem here at Har. There are more repercussions to the
problem, especially within the Visual Scheduling module. Please know that
this is one of the Cyprus issues listed on the Epicor website for voting. I
strongly encourage anyone facing this to go and vote to get this issue
fixed! Repetitive manufacturers face several workarounds at present because
of this.

Hi Group

Does anybody have a debit note (Report builder?) for use on the purchase ledger for informing suppliers of credit payments required. Or does anybody have any alternative best practices.

Thankyou in Advance

I ran Vantage 6.0 on a Windows 2003 Beta 2 Server with client machines
running to it and had absolutely zero problems. In fact Vantage seemed to
run a bit faster (could just be in my head).

Windows 2003 really seemed to run flawlessly ESPECIALLY over Windows NT 4.0
or 2000 Server, LOTS of new "toys" and administration capabilities.
Terminal Services seemed about twice as fast too, which is AWESOME!

However, we never did run the server in a live environment. We will not plan
on going to Windows 2003 Server until fall or winter of this year,
ESPECIALLY until at least the first Service Pack is released.

Just my two cents from personal experience.

Any further questions, please feel free to contact me.

We are running it as a production print server at this time but have yet to
test Vantage on it. Seems to be running ok and the upgrade went smooth.
Then again, it is just a print server.

You're thinking that even MS can't screw up a print server ?

Have faith !
