Try their tech support, they are extremely helpful.

A nice change of pace if you get my meaning .... ;-}

Got a super deal on a bunch of Wyse Winterm V90 Large (Win-XP Embedded) thin clients so I'm, replacing the 12 year old PCs running Vantage Data Collection. But having a horrible time getting them set up. Main issue is that after every reboot the user account (and other things) revert to factory. If I install the Dataworks Bar 39 font it will work until a reboot then be gone. Same for setting a static IP address or a computer name.

Anyone else using these at their location and know how to make changes stick?

Also, any pointers for printing to a local USB connected printer from an RDP session? We had it working once, until a reboot, but can't install the driver now.

Perhaps not such a good deal after all.

We use these for our MES Data Collection stations. We have 30 of them
setup across four locations. We never had to do any special changes
accept downgrade the firmware on all of them to a previous version,
because they were unable to locate our Citrix environment.

Let me know if this helps.

Got a super deal on a bunch of Wyse Winterm V90 Large (Win-XP Embedded)
thin clients so I'm, replacing the 12 year old PCs running Vantage Data
Collection. But having a horrible time getting them set up. Main issue
is that after every reboot the user account (and other things) revert to
factory. If I install the Dataworks Bar 39 font it will work until a
reboot then be gone. Same for setting a static IP address or a computer
name.

Anyone else using these at their location and know how to make changes
stick?

Also, any pointers for printing to a local USB connected printer from an
RDP session? We had it working once, until a reboot, but can't install
the driver now.

Perhaps not such a good deal after all.

Explored around a bit more and found a thing called "Write Filters" that basically disable the ability to write changes to the OS. There is a button on the administrator desktop for "FBWF Disable" and now I know what that is for. I think we can now configure these TCs and make the changes stick.
