Ot: xp & 2000

You may need to turn off "Simple File Sharing" on the XP home pc.

Windows Explorer, Tools, Folder Options, View, on the very bottom is
Simple file sharing.

Put both machines under the same workgroup and have the same
administrator username and password. This will help in avoiding the
prompt to 'connect as' when you try to access resources between each
machine.

Okay here is a good question
If I have a Windows 2000 Professional machine
Can a XP Home system share information with it
I know XP Home does not work well with 2000 Server or 2003 server
Did not know about Win2000 Pro?

Thanks

The difficulty lies in that the home machine can't/won't join a domain.
However, it might be possible if both are part of a workgroup.
