Hi all,
I've got a computer with WinXP with SP2 and all the latest security
patches. Starting a couple days ago it has been getting an error:
One of the files containing the system's Registry data had to be
recovered by use of a log or alternate copy. The recovery was
successful.
I searched Microsoft's KB and Google'd it. In Google I discovered
other users getting this same error but nobody has found any kind of
fix, even on Microsoft's website. I did find a posting somewhere
that this only occurs when a user with Domain Admin privs logs into
the network but when logging in as the Administrator into the
workstation itself the error does not appear. I have confirmed
this. Is anybody else getting this error? Know of a fix yet?
This laptop has NAV Corporate (updated) and Norton Firewall
(updated) so it is unlikely this is caused by a virus unless it is a
new one, undetected with no fixes written yet.
Thanks,
Bruce Brannan
