Note: The below statement is true if your contact is set as the Primary
Contact. If not, then it seems to use the default contact number on the
Vendor Maintenance Screen. You may need to simply find which "Primary
Contact" buttons to press to get them to show up on your POForm.

Dan,
There are several places that phone numbers are stored in Vendor
Maintenance, it seems. It's a bit confusing. If you are in Vendor
Maintenance main screen and Click CONTACTS, UPDATE. This is NOT the number
used. If you click (again from the Vendor Maintenance Screen) PURCHASE
POINTS, Select your Primary Purchase Point, Click UPDATE, Then Click
CONTACTS, then select your Primary Contact, Then select UPDATE - This is
where you'll find the phone numbers that show up on the POform.

We have changed numbers in other locations and it never made it to the PO
Form.

Hope this helps.

We are running 5.00.326 the canned Poform.RPT displays invalid phone
numbers
on P.O's that use purchase point. I don't think the vendor contact table
is
being dump into DBF file. I am looking for the most efficient way to
fix
this problem. Is there a better solution other than linking an ODBC
table,
or one that does not require additional user interaction i.e. user
defined
field or VBform. Better yet has this problem been fixed in 5.1

Hello Troy yes I was looking there the field I want is VendorCnt.FaxNum. I
put a value in the field and then inserted FaxNum (empty) and VendFax
(primary vendors phone number) from the POheader.DBF table into the Crystal
report to check the results. Is there another field in a different table I
am missing?

The POHeader.FaxNum field should be YOUR company's fax number. The POHeader.VendFax is the fax number I am referring to in the DBF table. My assumption is that Vantage looks at your Vendor, Vendor Contacts, and Purchase Points to see if you have a primary PP. If you do, it dumps that number in the DBF fields. If there is no Primary PP or Primary Contact, then it uses the Vendor's main phone/fax numbers.
