I need help from this great forum. Two issues have come up for me.
Can someone explain to me how the Pack Out works? I’ll explain my understanding, but I’m not entirely sure it’s correct: I created a shipment with three lines, but I need to add a box with unique dimensions to each line. To do this, I went to Pack Out and generated a Pack ID for each line, then grouped those three Pack IDs using the Master Pack Shipment Entry option.
I don’t know that there’s a “report” out of the box. The actual Packing Slip might show dimensions?? ShipHead has Weight, PkgLength, PkgWidth, and PkgHeight fields. If they’re not displayed out of the box, they possibly could be. ShipDtl also has PkgLength, height, width fields you could turn on in the RDD if they’re excluded by default.
There is also a MastPack (master packing slip) which is the master pack version of PackSlip.
But I would first try some quick BAQ’s and see where your data is living.
I was recently exploring the tables returned by the CustShipSvc.GetRows… and I remember seeing the CartonTrkDtl and CartonTrkDtlContent tables.
I just took a look at the fields for those and the data you’re looking for might be stored on the CartonTrkDtl table?
Table Description: Tracking numbers and associated data for a shipped pack.
CartonTrkDtlContent that might have additional details on individual lines from the pack, but I didn’t see any dimensional fields.
We don’t track our package dimensions, so I can’t investigate in my system (sorry)… but those are the table(s) that I would try to investigate first.
I would also look at MasterPack table as well.
My “guess” would be the individual pack lines might have dimensions on CartonTrkDtl and MasterPack might have the dimensions for the top level Master Pack package (if you had any).
I’m not sure if this was (3) boxes in a bigger “master” box… or could be (3) boxes placed on a skid, and that skid has specific dimensions… or just (3) boxes that you wanted shipped together on one “master” pack slip.
