PackSlip.rpt summarize data

I see now that Group Header/Footer # 1 is for the OrderNum.

I see Group # 2 is ShipDtl.OrderLine_ParentKitLine; I'm not sure of
the result of using this Group since I've never used kits.

You should add your own (third) Group and group on
ShipDtl.OrderLine_OrderLine. You can supress Group Header #3 and
insert your Summary into Group Footer # 3.

We have created a sales order for a part from three different lots.

Order line 1 part=971 qty=384 lot=x
Order line 2 part=971 qty=288 lot=y
Order line 3 part=971 qty=192 lot=z

Packing slip shows all three lines but we want to only see one line
with the total qty for the part.

part=971 qty=864

How can this be done in crystal reports?

Vantage 803 crystal 11.5

Thank you.
Assuming that you are using a copy of the Epicor-provided
packslip.rpt, then it should be easy to do what you want.

Use Section Expert to supress the detail section where the Lines are
printed.

Then make the Group Footer # 1 section larger.

Right-Click on the (now supressed) shipdtl.Calc_DspLineShipQty field
in the details section. Choose Insert--Summary to tell CR to make a
total and tell it what section to place the total. Select Group # 1
for the placement of the total. Now you can format the Group #1
section any way you want.

Lynn,

Thank you. This worked very well for my example. Then we tried an
order with more than one part number and it kept a total for the
whole order. Is there a way with running totals or summary to make
totals for each part on the packslip.

Thank you.
