Well, I guess no one has heard of paperlessParts. If we continue down this path to assist with the quoting process of machined parts, I’ll try to post when the process goes.

I’ve never even heard of this platform before… but it is intriguing. Their little intro video showed Epicor’s logo with systems it integrates with, so have to assume it would work.
What’s your vision here? I take it a potential customer would upload a STEP file, paperless would analyze it and potential talk back & forth with Epicor’s Quote Engineering… or possibly configurator?
It’s fine software, what I don’t like is that they try to push ALL of their functionality on you. They build the integration custom to you, so it should work great.
As an example, I wanted them to push documents to Epicor and they flat out would not. They said that we could pull them ourselves through the API, but refused to do anything else.
All that the software is though is the SolidWorks Costing. You could easily build it yourself for much cheaper.
Good afternoon! I’ve just been exposed to paperlessPARTS and they’re talking integration and database structure for multi-company/site. They want to use Kinetic endpoints to Get/Post. How would you set them up? Create an auth token and that’s it? Or do you apply auth token to certain BOs only? I’m in my baby-steps, if you can’t tell, and I want to do it right.
I don’t remember their structure. But they had trouble with the multi-site concept and had to create a custom field to handle it, if I am remembering correctly.
Lol! Funny you should mention, they kept asking me questions regarding multi-company.
Thank you! Perhaps it’s considered rude, but what ended up being the answer to your question ?
I’m in your June 19th “boat”, wondering how things went with PaperlessParts and if there’s anything I should be aware of.
I hadn’t been involved much after the initial technical setup, which was pretty simple. Overall, I’ve heard the implementation process has been smooth, and PP is very responsive. I think our go-live it scheduled for mid-October.
We have been onboarding Paperless at our org. Speaking to the technical side of it, we had opted for a different setup than most users, going with a Linux server hosted in our Azure IaaS and it was a bit rough to get going at first. I’m not sure exactly why this isn’t a more supported option, because if you go with their recommended Azure setup, it runs Windows just to virtualize a Linux install on it adding unnecessary cost.
As mentioned by others, they can custom develop each customer’s integration. We also setup our Access Scope like Norman has.
