The Progress web site has all of their manuals online. Here is a link to
the manuals. Check out the database administration guide in the database
collection and then the chapter on startup parameters.

Wayne,

Thanks for posting that! I changed our -yy to 1940 also.
Do you know what all those parameter file entries mean? We have:
-Mm 1024 -mmax 4000 -Bt 200 -s 63 -yy 1940 -stsh 31 -inp 12288

Where can I find out what all this junk means?
Thanks,
Joey

Just an FYI about changing -yy. I received an offlist message from Doug Williams at Epicor. Changing the paramter does take effect next time you log into Vantage BUT... will not change the way values were stored previously. My 1968 value was stored as 2068 because that was the rule in effect at the time it was entered. Then when I changed -yy to 1940 it displayed an error message (could not handle 2068 because it was too large for the field). I then changed the date (to 01/01/68) and it now saved it as 1968 and all is fine (with that particular date, that is).
