Looking at a part someone compared the Profitable and Produced tabs and compared the 2 for the same Job #.
In profitable the Lbr Unit, Bur Unit, and Mtl Unit all say different numbers when compared to Produced it however the final Total Unit Cost stayed the same.
Can someone shed some light on this on why this would happen?
Can you post an example? One is from the job and the other is from the invoice. for us we ship a lot of partials, so sometimes the invoice has a front loaded cost, but we will need more details on your scenario to tell.
We have been doing margin analysis a couple of times a week for a year, so i am used to looking at these numbers and have my own job costs and profit dashboard based on @hkeric.wci 's sgm query.
The Produced it tab just takes the numbers you see in Job Tracker and divides them by the production quantity of the job to get an average cost per unit.
The profitable tab takes each invoice and takes the cost of that shipment or receipt to finished goods and costs it with the costs of the job per unit at the time of shipment or issue to finished goods.
They both equal the total, but one is the average and the other is an event(s)(shipment/receipt) with a quantity. Below is from one job with 4 shipments
