Part Display Save Change Message

Hello folks,

There is some strange situation in Part Display Screen. When I enter part, it loads normally, then when I paste another part, it gives popup message "Save Changes yes or no "
I didn’t understand its a part display screen in which nothing get saves still its giving error popup message.
Can you please share some lights on this situation under what circumstance this dialog message comes.

Do you get that popup if you just:

  1. Launch Part Entry
  2. Enter an existing Part Number
  3. Tab to another field
  4. Close part Entry

What if you:

  1. Launch Part Entry
  2. Enter an existing Part Number
  3. Tab to another field
  4. Select File → New Part

Thanks for your reply.
Below is the step we normally do.
In Part Display, I paste part, then to view another part, i will remove existing partnum in Part textbox, will paste the new part and tab. Then this error will come. Dont know why in Part display its coming.

May be its some personalization.
Try clearing cache, delete personalization if any.

You can also check in the Options, “Restore Defaults”.

But what happens when you do either of my previously suggested tests?

They weren’t meant ways to work around the issue. They were ways to gather more info about what is happening.

If it happens (the pop-up shows) for the first test, then some customization or BPM is updating the part info every time you load the part. It might be a field that you can’t see.
