Part "On Hand" EA qty stuck due to incorrect UOM conversion

We have a part entered that was originally defined as PKG quantity where the PKG qty was set as 1 PKG = 1 EA. Now were trying to reduce the “On Hand” quantity in a manual count to zero and are not able to.

When we remove the quantity 1 EA, Epicor reduces the PKG quantity and not the EA quantity, creating a negative on hand PKG quantity. When we reduce the PKG quantity, it reduces the PKG quantity also creating a negative on hand PKG quantity.

We can’t seem to reduce the EA quantity at all no matter what we try. And we can’t change to a different UOM class to correct the problem because we have an on-hand quantity of 1 EA.

Any suggestions?

Support was able to help me with a datafix when I had an issue like this. It was a stuck record with a bad UOM and we couldn’t cycle the quantity out. The datafix was simple and quick.
