Hi all,
In our TEST environment, which we just upgraded to 10.1.500.11, the Part Search "Where Part Description Contains" field works as intended. In our LIVE environment, version 10.1.400.11, I get the following error message when attempting to use that field.
I looked on the SQL server for both to find indexes on Erp.Part and in both instances, it looks like they are identical.
Not being a SQL guy, is there any harm in rebuilding the index? If not, do I do this by right clicking on the index and clicking Rebuild All? We are on SQL Server 2008 R2.

You’re looking at the Table index. Check here for Full Text Catalog:

Thank you, Mark.
This is interesting because it works in our Epicor10Test environment but not our Epicor10Live one. Here are the two compared to eachother. Neither seems to have the Full Text Catalogs like yours does.

Hi Aaron, did you figure out the issue/solution for this?
I am also currently having issues with "Where Part Description Contains" field. It gives us a server side error but not the same message.
Thanks!
Elvin

Well not sure. we’ve long since upgraded and I haven’t encountered it. What version are you on? 10.1 kinda sucks compared to 10.2

We are on 10.2.. It is now actually fixed. We moved databases and turns out the new database did not have "Full Text Search" included during the install. So we just ran the install module, added feature and picked the full text indexing, rebuilt all the indexes and now it works!
