Part Substitution Default

Hi all,

I am trying to create a BAQ search to check if parts on hold have the “default” button ticked for substitution part.
I am unable to see the property for the “default” button in BAQ under “PartSubs”.
Is this a BPM field?

Please advice.

Thanks,
Himal

Hi Himal,

I saw your note and wondered if it could be in patchfld table, but thought that would be weird because it sure isn’t a new-ish field. The PartSubs table said it’s a subset of part. This made me think to look in part. I suspect this is the field from part table, Subpart, that sets it.

Subpart: Indicates the default Substitute part number. This is optional. Must be one of the related PartSub records. This field is set indirectly when the user checks the default toggle box in Part Substitution dialog

The default substitute field is not true false, it stores the default substitute part number in a text field its called SubPart.

This field recently caused me grief with global part linking.
