Part "Where Used" Report

Alan.

We have a couple of reports that might give you what you need. We have
a material report by job and another by assembly. They are somewhat
like the time phased material report but by job or assembly. We also
have a job structure report which shows all the assemblies, operations
and materials used in a job.

Let me know off line if you'd like a copy. I have to leave in less than
30 minutes so it may be tomorrow before I can send them to you.

Steve

Subject: [Vantage] Part "Where Used" Report

Hi, Everybody,
I just got bombed with several variations of a report I
can't figure out
how to accomplish: It centers around showing what raw material
parts are
used in a parent item. Our part numbering scheme goes like
this: 5x parts
are raw steel purchased items, 6x parts are manufactured
subassemblies, and
9x parts are parent, finished items. Some 5x parts roll into a
6x, which
roll into a 9x, but some 5x roll directly into a 9x. I can
show the parent
of the 5x parts easily, but I've not figured a way to show the
5x that roll
into a 6x, then to a 9x. Did any of that make the least bit of
sense? I
can't figure out how to do this in Report Builder, and I'm just
getting
started in Crystal .
Any input's appreciated.

Thanx,
Alan
