Manasa,
It's been awhile since I looked at Vista so please bear with me. Under
Inventory Management - Setup - do you have a menu option Serial Number?
You may be able to create the Serial Numbers for these items. You could
also possible add these items through Quantity Adjustment and you should
be prompted for the Serial Numbers. Not sure if you would be able to do
a negative Quantity Adjsutment to remove those items that don't have
Serial Numbers. You may need to call Vista Support to clear those. I am
unable to duplicate and/or test this scenario.

Ok, when we did our physical inventory I managed to add 3 parts without
serial number which actually needed serial numbers. Managed to do this
through cycle counting.

So what does one do to get those 3 out.

I am on vista 8.0.812.
