To all Payroll Module users...
Is there anyone out there that would be willing to share with me some
aspects of how they have set up their payroll module (my "go to" payroll
expert is no longer around)? We are in the process of setting this
module up in anticipation of going live 1/1/05; however, I want to try
and set it up right the first time, rather than trying to go back and
fix it later (limiting the "If I could do it over again..." occurences).
My question right now is "how have you established your labor expense
codes/how are they pointed to the G/L salary expense account?"
Currently, we only have 3 labor expense codes established: DIRECT
LABOR, INDIRECT LABOR, & VAC/HOL/BEREV. I am in the process of trying
to figure out how we currently use them (I have a feeling we came up
with those on the fly for labor entry because it is a required field in
labor entry), but I don't want to "rock the boat" without figuring out
if/how we are currently using these existing codes.
Any assistance would be appreciated!
Sincerely,
Rick Ludwig, C.P.A.
