Perishable Tooling Inventory

We use Inventory Module with a separate warehouse at zero costs (we expense
at time of purchase) for all perishable tooling then make misc. issues from
the tool crib, thus allowing the minimum on hand to generate suggestions
when we need to reorder.

We do it but it's pretty basic. We made a reason code for each of
our machines (that matches the machine code) and when someone needs
something from the toolcrib we do a qty adjustment and use that
machine's reason code. That way we can track what we issue to
each machine.
