Also of note, I learned when I made my reservations last week that Caesar's
has a "front desk" right in the airport -- so that you can check into the
hotel and get your room key cards at the airport!

Thanks!

A couple things I just learned while making hotel reservation for
Perspectives in Oct.

1. Caesars told me they now have a shuttle from the airport check-in.
Called Showtime Tours. $5.95/pp. BUT!!! When I checked Showtime Tours web
site they show airport transfers to Strip hotels at $4.50. Might be worth
calling or emailing them to confirm but looks like Caesars is taking a
markup on the service. One advantage to Caesars deal though is it can be
charged to the room (and hence to employer's credit card saving your cash
for more important things?) since you would have already checked in at the
airport. http://www.lasvegastours.com/transfers.asp

2. Caesars' reservations also provided three different Perspectives room
rates rather than the two listed on the web site - unfortunately the new one
is higher. The new Augustus tower is open (the one up front by The
Strip) and has huge rooms (with twin flat panel TV's, whirlpool baths,
etc....) for $245/nt. Downside is the walk to the conference center whereas
the Palace Tower rooms ($205/nt) elevator stops right there. Regular rooms
in older towers are $165. If your company is doing well this year hit the
boss up for the Augustus tower before calling the reservations line. ;)

If hotel cost is a deal breaker on attending feel free to email me off-list
for alternative suggestions or check
http://cheapovegas.com/vegas_map.php?map=strip and click on properties near
Caesars (note...Gold Coast is cheapest but not walkable to Caesars Palace,
but there is a free shuttle to Barbary Coast which is.
