Troy,
PGP is an encryption software that uses files referred to as keys to
encrypt your files before transfer and decrypt them after. The way it works
is; you create 2 keys, a private one you keep, and a public one you send to
people you will be swapping files with. Then you sign the file using your
private key and a public key that belongs to the person you're sending the
file to. They in turn can only decrypt the file with their private key and
your public key. This way no one else could possibly be able to decrypt your
files.
PGP software cost I think close to $300 but if your the person supplying you
drawings is someone like Boeing they can get you a discount and it will only
cost about $100.

Subject: [Vantage] PGP Security Software
Good Morning,
Is anyone using PGP Security Software? Can someone explain to me in
general terms what it is and roughly how much it costs? One of our
Customers is saying we need it to view drawings through email...
